I am pragmatic in my approach to addressing the complex dynamics and issues at play in divorce and family law matters. I formulate legal strategies focused on results. While I am deeply compassionate, I am also a tenacious advocate. My unique combination of experiences give me an edge to achieve favorable legal results.
Before and during my enrollment in law school at night, I was employed full-time at the Mercer County Courthouse as a senior probation officer. In that role, I enforced child and spousal support orders for a caseload of approximately 1000 cases. I also appeared on a weekly basis before hearing officers and Family Court judges on behalf of the probation department in enforcement hearings.
Immediately after graduating from law school, I became the law clerk for the Hon. Mary C. Jacobson, who was the Presiding Judge of the Family Part at that time. When Judge Jacobson was reassigned, I became the law clerk to the then-incoming Presiding Family Part Judge, the Hon. Catherine Fitzpatrick. During my clerkships, I gained insight into how various family law matters are viewed from the perspectives of two exceptional judges with very different personalities and backgrounds. Having been employed as a caseworker and then law clerk, I have an insider's perspective about how to navigate the nuances of a complicated Court system.
After my clerkships, I joined a distinguished New Jersey firm for the next decade before establishing Conte Family Law LLC. Throughout my career, my practice has been devoted exclusively to divorce and family law matters. I have handled all aspects of divorce, family law, and domestic violence litigation; post-judgment litigation; family law mediation; complex child and spousal support matters; family law appeals; and contested child custody matters.
Before pursuing a legal career, I graduated magna cum laude with bachelor's degree from Rutgers College in English and Philosophy. I hold a masters degree from Columbia University in Philosophy of Education. I obtained my law degree at Temple University, Beasley School of Law, where I was a Law Faculty Scholar and frequently on the deans list. Going to law school at night while working full-time during the day didn't prevent me from becoming a member of the prestigious Temple Law Review as well as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. With the Moot Court, I won "Best Brief" in the Samuel L. Polski Competition and was a finalist in the I. Herman Stern Competition.
I was named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers and New Jersey Monthly Magazines each year from 2015-2019.
